Dubai: Dubai Airports has confirmed that normal operations at Dubai International (DXB) have been affected due to inclement weather conditions, resulting in delays to arriving and departing flights. As a result, nine outbound and eight inbound flights were cancelled this morning, and three flights were diverted to neighbouring airports. One of the diverted flights has since returned to DXB.

Dubai Airport is working with its service partners and airlines to minimise any inconvenience experienced by its valued guests. Flydubai, one of the airlines operating at DXB, also confirmed that the adverse weather conditions in the UAE on April 16 had impacted its flight schedule.

The airline has cancelled some flights and is currently experiencing some delays. Flydubai is working hard to minimise disruption to its passengers' travel schedules and coordinating with all airport parties.

Emirates Airlines has advised travellers to plan and cautioned that road delays could lead to late arrival at the airport. Similarly, Etihad Airways, the UAE's national carrier, has also indicated flight delays because of adverse weather conditions.

The airline urges guests to check directly with their airline to obtain the latest information on their flight status, allow extra travel time to the airport, and use Dubai Metro for smoother transit.
